2020 was a year of pandemic. Pregnancy and delivery was looked at with high concern during this year. We had our baby boy enter the world in the middle of a pandemic. We were first time parents and we decided to have a doula to help with our postpartum needs. We were so glad to have had Heidi as our postpartum doula and help with child care. Heidi is extremely Knowledgeable, Professional, Patient and Kind and she was a tremendous help and asset for us in our postpartum journey. Since it was our first pregnancy, we had very little knowledge of what to expect, both physically and emotionally. Heidi gave us great support and advice about dealing with the emotional swings of postpartum and calming a new baby. Seeing her calm, supportive and easy going approach we decided to have her continue to care for our little one. We are so happy and grateful that we had Heidi as our postpartum doula. Should we have another child, we definitely would have Heidi as our doula.

Trauma Support

For some people, the joy of giving birth is replaced by feelings of anxiety or depression; commonly known as the ‘baby blues’. It has been shown that 60-80% of people who give birth will experience this common mental health concern. We are certified Trauma Informed Professionals (TIP), and experienced in postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety. We recognize why it happens, the signs to look for, and the toll it takes on your life. We understand because we've been there too. We can help. Trauma Informed Care is at the heart of our attendence to you and your family and is seemlessly integrated into all of our services. You're not alone. We're in this together.
